The competition was stiff at the 6th Annual Oriental Chili Cookoff that benefited the Old Theater. This was the first year Arlington Place entered a team and though we did not take top honors, we did win the award for “Best Smokey Flavor”. Much like our neighborhood, the chili recipe was a unique mix of all of our favorite flavors from chili’s past….we added smoked turkey, local sausage and dark beer to our chili and topped it off with sharp cheddar, sour cream and Fritos for a little crunch! We look forward to refining the recipe and giving everyone a run for their money in 2014!
