It doesn’t get much better than being surrounded by friends and family for Thanksgiving and we were very thankful they decided that Arlington Place was where they wanted to spend their holiday weekend! Fishing, cooking, shark teeth hunting, bike riding, kayaking and EATING topped our ‘to do’ list. A 25lb bird and a heck of a spread on Thursday followed by a fish fry and BBQ on Friday thanks to our skilled anglers who caught their limit of trout! We hope that Nathan, Hillary (aka Aunt LaLa), Lisa, John, Will, Emily, Stephen, Mike, Christine, Bill, Chrissy, Susan (aka mom/Grandma), Jim (aka dad/GrampaJim), Deane, Stan, Montgomery and Garrison had a fabulous time visiting and will make Arlington Place an annual holiday tradition! We’re looking forward to seeing many friends, old and new, this month and I’m thinking that this week’s forecast isn’t a bad way to bring in December. I suppose I could do without Tuesday, but decorating for Christmas in the 60s…..I’ll take it! Oh, and one more thing to be thankful for, happy LAST day of hurricane season to everyone!
