A ‘Cast of Characters’ may be an understatement for what was witnessed at the Oriental tiki bar on Halloween. The town came alive with spirited locals and many visiting boaters that were lucky enough to land in Oriental this night as they were passing through on their annual migration South.
I can’t think of a more perfect setting to celebrate Hallows Eve. The 75 degree evening was ideal costume weather, and the full moon made for eerie fall skies. The party spilled from the dance floor, to the tiki bar deck and balconies, to the lawn, to the docks and onto the many festive boats that were backed down in the marina.
Do you ever get the feeling that inhibitions are lost as the costumes go on?
