Oriental Harbor seems to be a very popular place to anchor up for many boats heading to the islands for the winter. This time of year often brings sailors and cruisers through our area as they get a weather window to escape the chilly weather of the North while avoiding the eventful hurricane season of the South.
And if the Harbor isn’t busy enough this week….add a cruise ship into the mix! The 223 foot ‘Independence’ docked up in Oriental this week on their way down the ICW. Quite a site!
