This weekend’s festivities were full of friends, family, fun, food and fireworks! Everyone turned out for Oriental’s annual Croaker Festival, a local tradition since 1980 that seems to get bigger and bigger each year. Our favorite local website, TownDock.net says that the “Croakerfest rocked Saturday. Perfect weather, a long crazy parade, and a fireworks show that is amazing for a town of 892 people. Yesterday, there were a few more people. Croakerfest population unknown. Bazillions.” It’s a jammed packed couple of days for our small town with a parade, vendors, pageants, baking contest, kids park, music, street dancing, sailing regatta and of course an impressive fireworks display over the harbor.
