So maybe this lifestyle isn’t for everyone.  Well….I take that back, most people wouldn’t mind this lifestyle one bit!  We often get asked, what is there to do at Arlington Place?  Here’s a recap of our October.  We’ve been busy “fest”ing….like a lot of festing.  We are surrounded by fall festivals that draw hundreds of thousands of people to the area that we call home, the NC Seafood Festival, MUMfest, Ol Front Porch Music Festival, and Oktoberfest to name a few have all been popular weekend hot-spots.

The Arlington Place family will be +8 by the end of the month! We welcomed super cute Lilagrace Ostmann to the world, currently holding the title of ‘AP’s littlest’.  However that title will be short-lived because baby boy Burgess is due on Saturday!  We are all excited to watch them grow up, such a neat childhood that we can give our little ones by living in this 1000 acre playground.  Congrats to Sean, Molly, big brother Mac AND Brian, Michelle, and soon-to-be big brother Jack!  We also welcomed Paul & Taras HOME, they moved into ‘Chez Raggio’ on Mill Creek last week and Sarah & Leslie Morgan and their girls move into the Royal Manor on Friday.  And the welcome wagon won’t get much rest because floor plans were just submitted for homesites 153, 200, 206 and 304!

Anything else?  With the weather pretty much picture perfect, you can’t help but be drawn to the water.  We got HOOKED UP, did lots of sailing, day tripped to Shackleford Banks, went off shore fishing and ate fresh tuna for a week, and had some awesome weekends camping (‘glamping’ really), and escaped to Ocracoke Island….one of coastal NC’s unique treasures!

Not enough?  Add in wine club, book club, the MANY social get togethers and your plate is pretty darn full!  But we’re not done with October quite yet…..this week is Ghostwalk, the Chili Cookoff in Oriental (GO TEAM AP!), Trunk or Treat, a Haunted housewarming, the ‘thank you’ dinner for the amazing Hope Clinic volunteers, and last but never least is the Halloween party at the clubhouse on the 31st, a pregame for trick-or-treating through the neighborhood, quickly becoming a favorite annual tradition!collage

I’m thinking a better question to ask may be “what’s there not to do?!?”
