Our neighborhood is smack dab in the middle of summer camp country and the fun starts this weekend! SUVs will once again parade down 306 bringing in around 1000 excited campers to our area. Arlington Place is sandwiched in between two of the largest sailing camps in the country, Camp Seagull for boys is 2 miles down the road and Camp Seafarer for girls is our neighbor across Mill Creek.
This month’s issue of Our State Magazine, campfires and canoes, has a great article called A Kid (Still) Needs Camp that highlights Camps Seagull and Seafarer and how the camps “fill a new generation of campers with a season full of memories.” Read the whole article here: http://www.ourstate.com/ymca-summer-camps/.
We’re so fortunate to have these world class facilities just down the street. We love hearing that classic camp bugle in the distance and looking off our shores and seeing 100 colorful Sunfish sailboats decorating the river. Welcome back campers!
