We sure had an eventful “Sunday Fun-day” and we didn’t even leave the neighborhood! It was definitely one of those days that gets you in the mood for summer. We started the day by putting the Arlington Place boat in the water and a little cruise….bottom painted, cleaned, serviced and ready to conquer creeks and rivers! Then we had a picnic lunch at the gazebo and golf cart ride down the the beach for some puddle jumping and minnow catching. Happy, wet, sandy and tuckered out….just how we like ’em! (see below pic of Gus, ‘the not-so-stealth great white minnow catcher’)………
After work, we met up with neighbors at the pool…a bit on the cool side for my liking but there were no complaints from the 4 and under crowd! Then it was back in the golf cart for a ride through our trails and to the docks where there were gar thrashing in the reeds, eels in the minnow trap and osprey feeding their babies! We’ve been getting a healthy dose of nature these days….even taught the kids how to get the nectar out of honeysuckle that has put the sweetest smell in the air this week. #LoveWhereYouLive #GoInnerBanks
