The Best of Me

Nicholas Sparks new love story, The Best of Me, is based out of Oriental!  The famed writer lives just down the road in New Bern and typically chooses a town in Coastal Carolina to be the backdrop of his popular stories.  He definitely took some ‘creative liberties’ depicting most of the places and faces, but he does include many of the classic village places in Oriental….like the Bean, our favorite local coffee shop!
