  • 18607Oriental is hosting it’s first Inter-Collegiate Sailing Regatta on Saturday, March 14th.  NC State’s Sail”Pack” is the host team and sailing teams from NCSU, UNC-Charlotte, Merchant Marine Academy (NY), Auburn, Salisbury, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, UVA and Florida State with be joining them for a day full of racing in the waters off Oriental.  Many teams are here already practicing for the regatta.  Photo courtesy of TownDock.net
  • Come out and support the sailors at the SailPack Foundation BBQ Fundraiser at the Water Street Grill deck on Friday, March 13th, 4-6pm. Tickets available at Nautical Wheelers:NW-SailPack-BBQ-FB-2015-2-1024x1024
  • The curtain rises TONIGHT on Love Letters at Oriental’s Old Theater with performances this evening at 7:30, Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 3:00Love Letters Poster
  • And local chefs will be serving up some delicious eats for the Oriental Woman’s Club’s 8th Annual Chowder Cookoff, held on the Oriental waterfront, Saturday from 11:00-2:00. This year’s cookoff is dedicated to the late Skip Waters, a popular Eastern NC meteorologist and friend that supported and participated in many Oriental events, including this cookoff in year’s past.
