Welcome to the neighborhood to our newest full time residents, Scott and Nan Zillioux!  Scott and Nan made the final trip down from Rochester, NY this week and are busy settling into the Kensington Creek home.  And they’re embracing the NC lifestyle whole heartedly.  The day they arrived, they both braved shrimp and grits for the first time….an initiation dinner to those living South of the Mason Dixon line!  A little background on the couple;  Their children, Erin and Matt, live in NC already and are both getting married in the next year!  Nan retired last week from 32 years from Golisano Childens Hospital at Strong, a level 5 neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU) in Rochester.  Now she can focus on wedding planning 🙂  We’re also hoping that she will be a part-time lactation consultant, sharing her skills and decades of knowledge with new moms in Pamlico County.  Scott’s not off the hook just yet, he still has a few more years before retirement and is able to work from home for Computerized Services Company, Inc.  But don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll still find time to go fishing….as evident by the dozen flounder he caught with Blair on their fishng outing this morning!  And we can’t forget about their lab Tess….adding to the growing population of pups in the neighborhood, I think we’re up to 9 now 🙂

Scott & Nan Zillioux - Homeowners, 84 Wild Cherry Lane

“A few years ago, after an exhaustive search of coastal communities, we visited Arlington PlaceKensington Creek for the first time. We quickly realized it was a special place with an exceptional staff. Since then, after many visits, a lot purchase and now as homeowners, that feeling of belonging has only been intensified. The community at large is so friendly and welcoming; there is a plethora of events and activities as well as opportunities for quiet reflection. Our children, Erin & Matt, love to visit and we feel like we have already made so many wonderful family memories, most of which include being in or on the water. We are certain we made the right decision to make our home at Arlington Place.”
