Here it is, my annual ‘Elevation Appreciation’ blog. Most of the year, Coastal Carolinians enjoy a relaxed outdoor lifestyle with the sun shining and gentle breezes……how quickly we forget about Nor’Easters and hurricanes. So here’s my attempt at reminding you.
What comes to mind when you think of Coastal Carolina? Life on the water, rocking chairs on the front porch, quaint historic towns…..and perhaps on the other hand……low land, hurricanes, flooding. The old saying rings true, You can’t have your cake and eat it too….or can you?
The water + elevation combo is few and far between on the coast but there is a way to have the best of both worlds….move to Arlington Place! Just ask the people who live here…..we’re all watching the news reports roll in about devastating floods happening right now, but we are high and dry with an average elevation of 25 feet above sea level! Our neighborhood is perfectly situated on a high bluff which makes for incredible views, great drainage, NO FLOOD INSURANCE and something that money can’t buy, that ever important peace of mind. Come and see for yourself….we always say that wet weather is the best time to shop for real estate. We’ve had an incredible amount of rain these last few weeks, but I’ll take mud over flood any day!
