October 2024 Neighborhood Update

Oct 28, 2024 | Neighborhood Progress

  • Trick-or-treating will take place on Halloween night, Thursday, October 31st, from 5:30-8:30.  Parents meet at the clubhouse at 5:00, bring a snack to share, we will have pizza so everyone can get a bite to eat before making their rounds.  We have a decent crew of kiddos who live in AP, but this year we will be opening up the neighborhood to all kids because it’s such a nice and safe place to go trick-or-treating.  We hope this will become a fun annual tradition for all of us!
  • Advisory Committee meeting held on October 23rd – MINUTES
  • The Minnesott Beach town-wide yard sale will be on November 2nd and the town-wide clean up will be on November 7th and 8th
  • Thank you to those of you who donated supplies and/or cash to help our Western NC neighbors in their recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene.  We took two carloads of items from our residents to be distributed.  Local agencies are still accepting donations, the cleanup and restoration will be ongoing for quite a while.

  • IT TAKES A VILLAGE: AP is HUGE and we can’t be everywhere at once.  We often get messages about minor issues and would love if neighbors could help out with the little stuff.  So many of you are already doing this and we appreciate it more than you know, but we’d love everyone to pitch in.  Of course, there are many things that we’d never ask/expect you to take care of and for those things, an email can be sent to an Advisory Committee member.  Thanks in advance!!!
  • EVENTS: only owner events will be allowed at the pool/clubhouse.  An owner can no longer sponsor an event for someone else, it must be their personal event.  Event schedule will be posted on the events CALENDAR.  Event form can be found in the document library in the owner section.
