August 2012 Community Update
- Power and water proposals approved for Mill Creek Community Docks
- Silt fence removal throughout neighborhood because many sloped areas have been stabilized
- Fall under-brushing of owner and developer lots begins
- Homesite 62E cleared for construction of Outfitters Cottages
- Meetings with Arlington Place advertising firm NDG and launch of new fall marketing campaign focusing on new target markets, i.e. Raleigh, NC
- New advertising contracts signed with News & Observer online, TownDock.net, County Compass, Pamlico News, etc.
- New street signs and owner signs ordered
- New croakies and floating key chains ordered for giveaways at fall events
- Beaufort Cottage garage completed
- Electric run to outlets and lighting on Mill Creek Community Docks
- CAMA application for private dock on homesite #273 is approved
- Outfitters Cottages approved at Minnesott Beach planning board meeting
- Questions on attachment of Outfitters Cottages came up at the Minnesott Beach commissioners meeting so the approval was “tabled” until the September meeting
- Meetings with the Minnesott Beach mayor and some commissioners to make sure the Outfitters Cottages meet the guidelines set forth in the town ordinances
- Riverfront under-brushing started
- Internet and phone lines installed at Burton Village Clubhouse
- Road construction, repaving, begins on highway 306
- Marketing and invitations created for the Sea Legs Social, at Arlington Place on September 22nd
