  • Oriental, NC Lighted Christmas Flotilla

    The Spirit of Christmas Flotilla will be held on Friday night December 13th unless the weather is bad. We invite kayaks, paddleboards, dinghies and canoes to the event. Please do not use motors or sails. Many, meet at the Oriental Wildlife ramp (100 Midyette Street Oriental NC 28571) at a time to facilitate being in the water at 4:45. For safety, please wear life vests and carry whistles (a white light is also required but I think Christmas lights will qualify). It’s a short paddle, but much of it (especially returning) is in the dark. Battery operated Christmas lights work well for decoration. https://www.facebook.com/events/898923955677278/

    2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band invites you to join us for our annual tradition of providing classic holiday music, LIVE for two performances only at Two Rivers Theater aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point! - Friday, December 13 @ 6:30 PM - Saturday, December 14 @ 3:00 PM Welcome the spirit of the holidays with a family-friendly evening of seasonal favorites and maybe an appearance by St. Nicholas himself! ADMISSION IS FREE and OPEN to the public. There are no tickets for this event. Please arrive early to ensure you have time for parking and seating. BASE ACCESS IS NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND.
