  • Winter Wonder: Winterville – Christmas Market/Parade/Tree Lighting Ceremony

    Join the Winterville Chamber of Commerce and Town of Winterville for our annual Christmas Market, Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Parade. This event is one you won't want to miss. Expect lots of holiday cheer, giveaways, shopping, and joy! The Christmas market is centered around the Christmas Tree at Market on the Square. Vendors selling goods and food, plus organizations sharing their outreach are welcome. The parade will pass right by the market location at 2pm, where later that night the tree will be lit. Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 5pm. Other activities include live performances, a reading of The Night Before Christmas, and hot chocolate shared with everyone! Parade entries are handled by Winterville Parks & Rec. Vendor entries are handled by the Winterville Chamber where all proceeds will be donated to WPD Shop with a Cop Program.     Craven Arts Council & Gallery is seeking submissions for our new DownEast Youth Film Scholarship, OPEN NOW! This program seeks to promote interest and careers in the field of film making, by providing recipients with money to support the purchase of equipment or other needs related to the creation of films. Applicants will be challenged to create an original film between five and thirty minutes in length, to showcase their ability and vision.   • Arlington Place Oyster Roast

    We're looking forward to seeing all the AP Crew on December 15th, 4pm, at the clubhouse for the annual neighborhood oyster roast! We will be providing the oysters, bring an oyster knife for shucking if you have an extra. Everything else will be potluck so bring a dish to share and BYOB. See you soon!
