Break out your steam pots, big ol Jimmy blue crabs are back! Not sure if they taste so good because we haven’t had them in a while or if they’re a little bit sweeter this year, but they’re more delicious than I remember. And we added some mini lobsters to the top of our pot too….well, technically crayfish….but they were darn good too, a nice little appetizer to the main course. They’re tasty just plain, but we like to dip them in my favorite new concoction: melted butter, apple cider vinegar, fresh lemon juice and Old Bay. I think I’m going to make a gallon of it to keep on hand this summer. I guess that’s a bit presumptuous, hope I didn’t just jinx tomorrow’s catch.
