January 2025 Neighborhood Update

Jan 30, 2025 | Neighborhood Progress

  • Thank you to all of the neighbors who came to the annual APPOA meeting on the 25th, we had a full house!  It was nice to see so many new faces mixed in with the OGs.  If you weren’t able to make it to the meeting, you can check out the minutes, which will be posted in the Meeting Minutes section of the website next week, found HERE.
  • Assessment invoices were mailed this week and will be followed up by an email early Feb.
    • NOTE: Don’t confuse “assessment” with “special assessment”.  We have never sent a “special assessment”, the invoices that you’ll see are your regular annual dues.
    • Dues remained the same, $1200/yr for a home and $900/year for an undeveloped lot.
  • Homesite price increased planned for Q2⤴️ If you have been eyeing your adjacent property and would like to purchase to combined lots or keep a buffer, call Blair (252-599-0345) or Becca (252-599-1903) soon before the prices go up!
  • The new storage lot has been cleared.  Grading and base material will follow and the spaces will be laid out and numbered.  We will keep you posted on the progress and availability.
  • The exercise room and the bathrooms in the clubhouse undergo a remodel mid-Feb through mid-March.  We will post access updates on NextDoor.com.
  • REPORT FORM: all ideas, maintenance requests and issues are to be submitted to the Advisory Committee using the AP Report Form, link found HERE.
  • PARKING RULE:  trailers, campers and watercraft cannot be parked in a driveway or on a homesite for more than 14 days, within a 60-day period.  Park in AP’s storage area or one of the many storage facilities in the county.
  • The lock to the beach road gate has been changed, the new code is 8875.  Spread the word, only to neighbors of course.
  • Thanks to those who took the time to write a google review for Arlington Place.  We appreciate it so much!  If you haven’t yet written one and would like to, here’s the LINK.
  • The next Advisory Committee meeting will be held on February 25th.  If you have any questions, please submit a Report Form to the AC.
  • The new and improved ArlingtonPlace.com will be launched soon!  Please bear with us as there may be a few kinks to work out with the site and owner page.

  • We love that so many people are using the clubhouse and the sports courts but please pick up any trash or items you used when you leave, parents make sure your kids are picking up too.
  • Our Wi-Fi provider is Brightspeed.  We have been advised to use the website (not the 800 number) which is Brightspeed.com.  Everyone can upgrade to the gigabit service with the new equipment.
  • A reminder to pick up after your dogs and please keep them leashed when walking on the roads and trails.  AP Pet Policy found HERE.
  • Email peyton@arlingtonplace.com if you need an invite to join our private neighborhood message board on NextDoor.com.  Edit your notification settings if you’re getting too many emails.
  • IT TAKES A VILLAGE: AP is HUGE and we can’t be everywhere at once.  We often get messages about minor issues and would love if neighbors could help out with the little stuff.  So many of you are already doing this and we appreciate it more than you know, but we’d love everyone to pitch in.  Of course, there are many things that we’d never ask/expect you to take care of and for those things, an email can be sent to an Advisory Committee member.  Thanks in advance!!!
  • EVENTS: only owner events will be allowed at the pool/clubhouse.  An owner can no longer sponsor an event for someone else, it must be their personal event.  Event schedule will be posted on the events CALENDAR.  Event form can be found in the document library in the owner section.
  • AMENITIES USE: all guests, friends, family of owners MUST BE accompanied by an owner to use AP amenities.
