June 2016 Community Update
- AP Road email sent to local owners from Advisory Committee. To request a copy, please email peyton@arlingtonplace.com
- Welcome to the neighborhood, Brian & Terry MacMahon, new owners of homesite 153.
- Quible engineering performs a road inspection throughout the neighborhood. Report to follow, available upon request.
- Pickleball Thursday morning at 8:30 added to the schedule. We will continue to host Pickleball Friday at 5:30 until further notice.
- Follow up AP Road information email sent to local owners from Becca with an attached Letter to the Town of Minnesott Beach. To request of copy of either, email peyton@arlingtonplace.com
- Final CAMA Permit received for construction of new boat ramp next to the neighborhood docks. Permit Class: modification/minor for “Major Development in an area of Environmental Concern pursuant to NCGS 113A-118.
- Boat ramp and riverfront area lakes surveyed.
- Neighborhood Pot Luck scheduled for Sunday, July 3rd, 4:00 at the clubhouse.
- NCDWQ has delcared no fill for any type restoration can be brought into the riverfront. US Army Corps of Engineers and CAMA have declared the small stream/ditch a navigational waterway and height requirements come into play so canoes and kayaks can pass under the planned bridge. This has changed our riverfront beach plans and we are actively pursuing a “Plan B” riverfront amenity and will pass along details when they are more concrete.
- Final bid submissions from builders for the three new Outfitter’s Cottages to be built on homesite 62. Estimated break ground date is September 2016.
- Last of the new billboards installed
- New signage complete, to be installed over the next few weeks.
- The Rockwells break ground on their new home at 159 Wild Cherry Lane, homesite 94.
- Swale stabilization, grading and seeding, throughout the neighborhood.
- Many local owners sign Road Letter to the Town of Minnesott Beach requesting developer Letter of Credit extension for 1″ top coat on roads throughout the neighborhood. Letter to be submitted to the town July 5th, email peyton@arllingtonplace.com for details.
