March 2023 Neighborhood Update

• Welcome to the neighborhood to the Estes family.  CJ, Jessie, and their cutie pie Emma are the new owners of homesites 155+156 on Burton Farm Drive.  Looking forward to seeing their new home under construction soon!
• Homesite 272 goes under contract.
• Homesite 149 goes under contract.
• Well this year’s March Madness neighbor vs neighbor sure has been interesting.  We have just 2 brackets with potential points left, Paul and Paula who are rising from the bottom to the top with picks like Miami, San Diego St and UConn.  Everyone else is BUSTED!  Stay tuned to the AP Owners group on Nextdoor.com for updates.
• Concrete leveling on the pool deck should be complete by April 1.  We will then start prepping the pool for the season, putting out the new furniture, etc.  We hope to have the pool open in early May however the timeframe will likely depend on county inspections.
• More beach added to Pintail Lake.  Polywood adirondacks ordered for the beach.
• Certificate of Occupancy issued for The Durham model home on Brightleaf Drive.
• Homesites 398+399 go under contract.
• Homesite 135 goes under contract.
• Cycle NC Spring Ride is coming up the last weekend in April and our clubhouse is the first pit-stop on Sunday the 30th from 8:30-1:30.  We will be welcoming around 1,200 cyclists to AP and fueling them up with drinks and snacks.  Here’s the LINK TO VOLUNTEER.  You’ll be stocking coolers and food and chatting with the riders who love to ask questions about the area and neighborhood. Thanks for those who have already offered to help!
• Welcome to the neighborhood to the Schrock family.  Nick and April just snagged our very last riverfront homesite at 28 Wax Myrtle Court!

• Welcome to the neighborhood to the Jasuta family.  Mike and Lutcie will be building soon at 197 S Brightleaf Drive.
• Certificate of Occupancy issued for The Columbia model home on homesite 357.

• Our wifi provider is now Brightspeed.  Login to Brightspeed.com, sign in at the top, select ‘I was a former Quantum customer‘ and login with your email address and password.  If you forgot your password you can reset it.  If you need to get in touch with them, the number is 833-363-2500.  Everyone can upgrade to the gigabit service with the new equipment.

• IT TAKES A VILLAGE: AP is HUGE and we can’t be everywhere at once.  We often get messages about minor issues and would love if neighbors could help out with the little stuff.  So many of you are already doing this and we appreciate it more than you know, but we’d love everyone to pitch in.  Of course, there are many things that we’d never ask/expect you to take care of and for those things, an email can be sent to an Advisory Committee member.  Thanks in advance!!!
• EVENTS: only owner events will be allowed at the pool/clubhouse.  An owner can no longer sponsor an event for someone else, it must be their personal event.  Event schedule will be posted on the events CALENDAR.  Event form can be found in the document library in the owner section.
• PICKLEBALL: will be played this month on the tennis courts, weather permitting.  Have questions or want to join?  Email Dennis: dgbalsly@msn.com
• AMENITIES USE: all guests, friends, family of owners MUST BE accompanied by an owner to use AP amenities.
