Okay AP, time to step up! We will be collecting donations through Thursday, October 3rd for those affected by the devastating floods in Western Carolina. Our friends at Pamlico Emergency Management are there aiding in the rescue effort and the Sherrif’s office is coordinating the much-needed supply delivery. PLEASE take a bit of time from your week and drop off donations on the back porch of the welcome center. See NextDoor for supply list.
- if you are out of town and would like to make a monetary donation, venmo @Becca-P-Lang (phone number verification 252-599-1903). We will be loading up on supplies Thursday with the donated funds. TIA!
- The next Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for October 24th. If you have anything that needs to be discussed at the meeting, please email an AC member. Email addresses found HERE. As a reminder, answers or responses to topics that are discussed will be posted in the meeting minutes.
- It’s almost time for another Arlington Place trick-or-treat! Trick-or-treating will take place on Halloween night, Thursday, October 31st, from 6:00-9:00. We have a decent crew of kiddos who live in AP, but this year we will be opening up the neighborhood to all kids because it’s such a nice and safe place to go trick-or-treating. We hope this will become a fun annual tradition for all of us!
- Thanks to those who took the time to write a google review for Arlington Place. We appreciate it so much! If you haven’t yet written one and would like to, here’s the LINK.
- The new storage area was surveyed and we are getting bids for site development.
- A well was drilled for the new lake and an access road has been cleared that will connect Burton Farm Dr to the well site. We originally wanted to name it “Mini-Pin” but it looks like it turned out to be bigger than Pintail Lake so that name no longer makes sense. Suggestions anyone?
- The pool will likely close early October, weather permitting. Please email frontdesk@arlingtonplace.com if you are willing to organize the after-season doggie swim🐾
- Arlington Place hosts a cross country meet for Pamlico County High School, #GOCANES!
- Stay tuned this fall for the rollout of the new and improved ArlingtonPlace.com.
- We love that so many people are using the tennis / pickleball courts but please pick up any trash or items you used when you leave, parents make sure your kids are picking up too.
- We got the thumbs up from DOT to install reflectors down Burton Farm Road. However, the adhesive pads that are used can melt a bit when it’s hot so we will wait for a cool week to install.

- IT TAKES A VILLAGE: AP is HUGE and we can’t be everywhere at once. We often get messages about minor issues and would love if neighbors could help out with the little stuff. So many of you are already doing this and we appreciate it more than you know, but we’d love everyone to pitch in. Of course, there are many things that we’d never ask/expect you to take care of and for those things, an email can be sent to an Advisory Committee member. Thanks in advance!!!
- EVENTS: only owner events will be allowed at the pool/clubhouse. An owner can no longer sponsor an event for someone else, it must be their personal event. Event schedule will be posted on the events CALENDAR. Event form can be found in the document library in the owner section.
