March 2017 Neighborhood Update

  • Spring landscaping throughout the neighborhood…..1500+ bales of pinestraw!
  • Letter submited to the Town of Minnesott Beach for ordinance clarification. On the agenda for April Town meetings.
  • 1st Annual AP March Madness neighbor versus neighbor tournament, winner still TBD.
  • Welcome to the neighborhood, George & Sherri Homme, new owners of homesite 381. The developer has leased back rights of use for the beach/gazebo/dock on homesite 381 for AP owners until the Homme’s are ready to build their riverfront dream home!
  • Zoning permits submitted to the Town of Minnesott Beach for the storage area, individual sheds in the storage area, and the proposed dog park.
  • Bids for power installation at the storage area recieved and approved from Tideland EMC and Tryon Electric. Project “on hold” until the Town of Minnesott Beach approves zoning.
  • Note: the Town requires a zoning permit for all sheds, even if they do not have a foundation. This includes a storage shed in your backyard. See the AP or Town office if you have questions or need a zoning permit application.
  • The Zambito’s second home on lot 188 is officially under construction. We know Joe and Camille can’t wait to watch the sun set over the Mill Creek from their back deck!

    • New street light locations identified with Tideland Electric. Work order submitted but Tideland is in the process of switching to LED lighting and they warned us that install of the new lights would take a while. No specific timeframe given.

  • Bid recieved for re-painting the Outfitter’s Center.
  • New pool safetly codes/guidelines require us to install new drains and a few other minor things. Parts ordered and to be installed soon to make sure we are in code complaince when we apply for the 2017 pool permits. Goal is to be open first week in May.
  • The (long awaited) Broughton home on lot 166 is now under construction!
