- Mark your calendars for an eventful October: Oct 4-6 Old Front Porch Music Festival AND NC Seafood Festival, Oct 11-13 Mumfest, Oct 18 ACS Night of Lights walk at AP, Oct 26 Oriental Chili Cookoff AND the Parade of Homes, Oct 31 Neighborhood Trick-or-Treat… just to name a few.
- Welcome to the neighborhood Charlie & Pam Aman. Charlie and Pam are the new owners of homesites 314 & 315 on Sailmaker Loop.
- Mother Nature kept us on our toes again this September when Dorian blew through on 9/6. There was no flooding in the neighborhood and very few downed trees. The one casualty was the neighborhood beach where we lost about 18″ of sand, the same sand we were gifted last year in Florence. Our favorite mimosa trees framing the dock are now gone 🙁 and cleanup has begun. We will likely have an owner cleanup day in a few weeks.
- Homesite #133 goes under contract.
- AP will co-host the Night of Lights walk, with Arapahoe Charter School. The event is a luminary walk and will be held from 6-8pm on October 18th at the clubhouse and park in front of the clubhouse. All are invited to join… details to follow!
- Homesite #278 goes under contract.
- Lot #276 goes under contract.
- Three new model homes will break ground this fall on homesites 84, 267 and 342.
- Welcome to the neighborhood Art and Kaye White and their pup Sonny! The Whites are the new owners of homesite 63 on Mill Creek Drive.
- Arlington Place signs on to participate in the 12th Annual Oriental Chili Cookoff. The event benefits the The Old Theater in Oriental and will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 11:00 – 1:00 at the Oriental Marina & Inn courtyard. Thanks to Rock & Diane for heading up the team! Let us know if you can help cook on the 25th or serve on the 26th. Word on the street is they have an awesome recipe this year… come out to support Team AP!

- New AP monogram is designed.
- Homesite #192 goes under contract.
- Fall under-brushing throughout the neighborhood, in the field areas and at the welcome center.
- Our annual Halloween event will be on Thursday, October 31st. Kiddos will meet at the clubhouse at 5 for a quick dinner and then we’ll head out trick-or-treating, caravan style, though Burton Village. We hope that folks in the ‘riverfront district’ will meet us at the clubhouse at 5 with goodies because we won’t have time to make it through all of AP.
