May 2016 Community Update

  • New billboards installed down highway 306 and an additional 2 on highway 55
  • Meeting with contractors about phase 2 lake construction and boat ramp.
  • NC DEQ 401 Water Quality Permit recieved for boat ramp. Only permit we’re still waiting on is the final CAMA permit.
  • Swale stabilization begins, hydro-seeding swales approved
  • Homesite 46 sold and closed
  • CAMA modification permit received for benches installed on the boardwalk over the marsh
  • Arlington Place hosts the Hope Clinic staff party at the clubhouse
  • Homesite 153 goes under contract
  • Four pickleball courts taped off over tennis courts
  • New pool and sports equipment purchased for clubhouse
  • Pickleball league starts on Fridays at 5:30 throughout the summer
  • Contractor for riverfront beach area meets on-site with CAMA and Corps of Engineers to finalize construction plans and permits
  • Two new kayaks and two new bikes purchased
  • New floor plan for 3 new Outfitter’s Cottages on homesite 62 is finalized and bid out to builders
  • Cahoon Marine Construction begins construction on bench bump outs on both sides of the marsh boardwalk
  • Three new Outfitter’s Cottages are laid out and surveyed on lot 62, construction still estimated to begin September 2016
